Seventy-four air-conditioned rooms are spread across several floors. Some favor space and light, while others are more compact, designed for a short stopover or a tighter budget. Cleanliness does not vary from one category to another, nor does the comfort of the bedding. People sleep well here; that is often the first thing said by those who spend the night.

On the ground floor, the bar never closes. Open 24 hours a day, it becomes a stopover between two tastings in town, the place to grab a late-night snack or put the world to rights over a drink after a day of sightseeing. Outside, the terrace borders an outdoor pool. In fine weather, it is a pleasant place to linger, book in hand. It is not heated, which makes it mainly a spring and summer pleasure, best suited to sunny stays rather than year-round use.

The morning starts early, sometimes very early. A generous buffet awaits in the dedicated dining room: eggs, fresh fruit salad, plain yogurts, and juice pressed on site. The pastries come out of the oven shortly before opening, and the madeleines are still warm when you pick one up on the way by. For those heading out before dawn, to the vineyards or to a business meeting, a lighter option is available from 4 a.m., with a hot drink and a piece of fruit to take away.

The property also carries the Accueil Vélo label. This is more than just a sign at the entrance: the staff are happy to share their favorite local addresses, and the Route des Vignes begins just over a kilometer away. Enough to pedal through the rows before coming back to shower and head back into town.

For groups, four modular meeting rooms are suitable for either a seminar or a private booking. You may even find two events taking place the same evening without the atmosphere suffering, as the staff keep smiling from start to finish.

Around it, Beaune reveals itself through its cellars and medieval facades, barely five hundred meters away. The Hospices, the Fallot Mustard Museum, the wine bars in the center: everything is within walking distance, without having to take the car even once.

One tip for early risers: do not automatically count on the regular breakfast if you are leaving before 6 a.m. Ask reception for the lighter option the day before; a coffee and a pastry are more than enough to set off for the vineyards while the city is still asleep.
